Men's Golf in Third Place After First Day at WBU Fall Invitational

PLAINVIEW, TEXAS (Oct. 15, 2024) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team sits in third place out of six teams after the first two rounds of the Wayland Baptist University (WBU) Fall Invitational on Monday. 

The men tallied a first-round of 282 and a second-round 287 for a total of 569 in third place. WBU is in first place at 274/276=550 and University of Texas at Dallas trails in second at 276/278=554. University of the Southwest is in fourth place at 291/287=578, followed by Hesston College at 299/307=606 and Central Christian College of Kansas at 313/300=613.

Oliver Gaisford leads the Saints at 69/68=137. Juan Limon shot 70/71=141, followed by Alex Marshall at 71/72=143 and Victor Peña at 72/72=144. Oscar Gutierrez (71/74=145) and John Martinez (72/73=145) had the same total from the first two rounds. Niall Langley-Brook followed at 70/79=149 and Fernando Limon finished at 77/73=150.
