Mia Curiel Wins Red River Runner of the Week Award

WACO, TEXAS (Oct. 8, 2024) – Mia Curiel of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) was selected as the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Sept. 30-Oct. 6. This is the sixth award of the 2024 cross-country season.

Curiel faced a tough field of 420 runners at the Dallas Baptist University Old Glory Gallup on Saturday, finishing 120th. The junior from McAllen, Texas, completed the 5,000-meter course in a time of 19:34 to earn her second weekly award of the season. OLLU placed 27th out of 46 teams and second among NAIA schools.
