Jags bounce back in non-conference tilt with OLLU
SAN ANTONIO – The UHV baseball team was spurred by a big fifth inning in a bounce-back win on Tuesday.
The Jaguars batted around for five runs in the fifth inning en route to a 9-7 win over the Saints in non-conference play.
Jean Michael Gonzalez got the scoring started in the fifth inning when Julian DeLeon scored on an error from Gonzalez's ball up the third base line. Hayden Leopold followed with an RBI single to score Gonzalez. Kaden Fikac then ripped his first triple of the year to score Leopold and Juan Martin. Leopold went 3-for-5 at the plate with a pair of RBIs, two runs and a double. Martin was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, a double and a run scored. Both of Fikac's RBI came from his triple.
