SHREVEPORT, La. -- The LSUS Pilots took care of business on their home floor Saturday afternoon, defeating Our Lady of the Lake University, 85-77, at The Dock. The victory moves LSUS to 17-10 overall and 14-9 in Red River Athletic Conference play as they continue their push toward the postseason.
Davion Coleman led the way for the Pilots, filling the stat sheet with 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block. Tyler Washington was a force in the paint, finishing with 18 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks. Melvion Flanagan added 17 points, while Trey Boston contributed 11 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
LSUS shot a sharp 54 percent from the field and converted 75 percent of their free throws, using their efficiency to fend off the Saints.
OLLU was led by Trey Law, who posted 16 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Breion Powell came close to a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Kenyon Elliot added 11 points and four steals. The Saints struggled from the field, shooting just 37.9 percent overall and 61.5 percent from the line.
The Pilots will be back in action at The Dock on Thursday, Feb. 20, for Senior Night against in-state rival LSU Alexandria. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
