Pilots Blank Saints En Route to RRAC Semifinal

Shreveport, Louisiana—In a highly anticipated RRAC quarterfinals soccer clash, the LSU Shreveport Pilots emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win against the Our Lady of the Lake Saints. With the win the Pilots move on to the RRAC semifinals in Texarkana and improve to an overall record of 12-3-3.

The Pilots wasted no time establishing their dominance, as Chelsea Brown's quick thinking allowed her to intercept the ball from the OLLU defense and expertly slot it into the back post just two minutes into the game.

The Pilots continued their impressive performance throughout the first half, successfully fending off the Saints and maintaining their lead. They took seven shots, keeping the Saints to just one, showcasing their tight defense and strong offense.

As the second half began, the Pilots were eager to extend their lead and add a second goal, but they faced a resilient OLLU defense that denied their attempts. Despite their efforts, the Pilots were unable to convert, leaving the scoreline at 1-0.

Once again, the Pilots outshot the Saints in the second half, this time with a 3-1 advantage, as both teams battled fiercely in the midfield. This victory in the RRAC quarterfinals highlighted the Pilots' determination and prowess on the soccer field, securing their spot in the next stage of the tournament.

The Pilots will be back in action Thursday November 9th as they travel to Texarkana for the RRAC Semifinals. Opponent and time will be released following other tournament games.
