Women's Basketball Collects Third Straight Conference Win

San Antonio, Texas —In a commanding performance, LSU Shreveport's Pilots secured a decisive victory over the Saints of Our Lady of the Lake with a final score of 73-50. With the win the Pilots improve to 7-2 on the season and 3-0 in conference.

 The Pilots dominated from the start, with a stellar first quarter performance, outscoring the Saints 23-9. Their efficiency was evident, shooting 6-16 from the field and an impressive 11-12 from the free-throw line, while the Saints struggled at 2-13 from the field and 5-10 from the free-throw line.

Despite the Saints' efforts to stage a comeback in the second quarter, the Pilots maintained control, outscoring them 18-13, heading into halftime with a commanding 41-22 lead. The Pilots' dominance persisted through the third and fourth quarters, outscoring the Saints 14-11 and 18-17, respectively.

 

Destanee Roblow and Tyquanna Ross emerged as key contributors, both reaching double digits in scoring. Roblow showcased her all-around skills with a 5-13 field goal record, 4-6 from the free-throw line, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals. Ross displayed impressive accuracy, going 4-6 from the field and a perfect 4-4 at the free-throw line, along with five rebounds and one steal. The Pilots' collective effort secured a well-deserved victory in this matchup.

The Pilots will be back to action Saturday December 16th as they face the Rams of Huston-Tillotson. Tip-off is set for 1:00pm CT from Austin, Texas.
