Women's tennis season comes to an end at RRAC tournament
NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — The A&M-Texarkana women's tennis team battled their way through a last-minute change of venue and a difficult slate of matches against Our Lady of the Lake, but ultimately fell to the Saints, 7-0, in the first round of the Red River Athletic Conference tournament in New Orleans.
Originally scheduled to begin Thursday morning at 9 am, the match was moved to an indoor facility with rain moving over New Orleans and pushed back an hour. Once the competition began, OLLU claimed the first point with a sweep of three doubles matches, then advanced to the semifinals with wins in each of the first three singles matches.
The ladies' season ends with a final record of 9-14.
