Pilots Advance to RRAC Tournament Semifinals with 2-0 Win Over OLLU

SHREVEPORT, La. — The Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) men's soccer team powered their way to the semifinals of the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Men's Soccer Tournament with a commanding 2-0 victory over Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) on Friday afternoon.

The Pilots set the tone early in the match, with Joel Trueb finding the back of the net in the 18th minute off an assist from Liam Vivian, putting LSUS up 1-0. Jack Thomas later sealed the win in the 78th minute with a well-placed strike, doubling LSUS's lead and putting the game out of reach for OLLU.

Kyle McLeish was a standout in goal for LSUS, recording eight crucial saves to keep OLLU off the scoreboard and secure the clean sheet. OLLU's goalkeeper, Dominic Pena, also had an impressive performance with nine saves, but LSUS's offensive pressure ultimately proved too much to handle.

With this win, the Pilots advance to the RRAC Men's Soccer Tournament Semifinals, where they will face Louisiana Christian University on Tuesday, November 12, at 5 p.m. in Texarkana, Texas. LSUS looks to continue their momentum and secure a spot in the conference finals.
