Quren Santiago pumped in a team-high 19 points and Kayla Williams posted her fifth consecutive double-double and 10th of the season in leading A&M-Texarkana to a 52-47 win over Our Lady of the Lake on Saturday.
Williams finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds and Santiago hit five triples to help the Eagles (11-10, 8-7 RRAC). After being outscored in each of the first three frames and trailing 43-38 entering the fourth, the Eagles outscored the Saints by a 14-4 margin over the final 10 minutes to come from behind a steal an important win. OLLU fell to 7-13 overall and 6-9 in conference play.
OLLU's Tiffany Lopez led all scorers with 20 and Julia Plata added 12 but the Saints shot just 35.3 percent from the field and were outrebounded 35-25. The lead changed hands nine times and OLLU led by as many as nine with 3:19 in the third period before the Eagles took it for good in the fourth.
