Eagles strike early and never relent during blowout win over OLLU

A&M-Texarkana put together one of its most complete outings of the season Saturday, leading by as many as 21 on the way to a 91-74 blowout of Our Lady of the Lake at the Patterson Center.

Jeff Norment had a team-high 19 to lead four Eagles in double figures. Justin Brown had 15 points while Christopher Coley and Ajani Jamison each tossed in 11. Raschard Greene added eight points and seven rebounds while Levelle Zeigler finished with nine points and nine assists.

The Eagles (7-14 overall, 5-10 RRAC) shot 51.5 percent from the field (35-of-68) and 44.8 percent from behind the arc (13-of-29), won the rebounding battle (34-31) and got more points from its reserves (39-30) than the visiting Saints (9-12, 6-9). TAMUT led by nine at the break and outscored OLLU by eight in the second half.

OLLU's Trey Law led all scorers with 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting, but the rest of his teammates combined to make just 16-of-44 shots.
