SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The A&M-Texarkana women's basketball team opened a big lead early and never looked back in beating Our Lady of the Lake, 77-58, for their third consecutive win. The Eagles (5-5 overall, 2-2 RRAC) also squared their overall and conference records heading into the holiday break.

Semaj Adams made 9-of-13 shots, including all three of her attempts from deep, and scored a game-high 25 points to go with six rebounds and six steals. Kayla Williams added 20 points and eight rebounds and Jaslyn Woods pitched in 14 points and seven boards.

The Eagles shot 45 percent for the game, 48 percent from behind the three-point line and held the Saints (3-6, 2-3) to just 37 percent shooting (18-of-48). Adams scored 17 of her 25 in the first half, where the Eagles would lead 24-8 after the first 10 minutes and 47-21 at the half.

Tiffany Lopez scored 13 for the Saints with nine rebounds and three blocks, while Cormia Lewis also had 13 points for OLLU, which lost its third in a row after starting the conference schedule with a pair of wins.

The Eagles started the game with a 9-0 run and added a 13-2 run later in the opening period to go in front 22-6. Another 9-0 run in the second made it 33-10 and a 13-0 run late in the first half took the advantage to 47-16, the Eagles' largest lead of the game. OLLU never led and wouldn't get closer than 15 in the second half.

TAMUT will be off until Jan. 4, when conference play resumes with a trip to Paul Quinn College. The next home date for the Eagles is Jan. 11 against Texas College.
