Pilots Continue Hot Streak Through Conference with Triple Digit Win Over OLLU

Shreveport, Louisiana— In a dominant performance, the Lady Pilots of LSU Shreveport showcased their prowess on the basketball court as they routed the Our Lady of the Lake Saints with an impressive final score of 104-59. The Lady Pilots asserted their dominance right from the start, particularly in a commanding first quarter. With the win, the Pilots move to an overall record of 18-2 and a conference record of 14-0. 

**First Quarter: Lady Pilots 33, Saints 11** 

The Lady Pilots wasted no time making their mark, putting up an impressive 33 points in the first quarter while holding the Saints to just 11. Shooting efficiently at 13-for-18 from the field, including four successful three-pointers, and converting 3-of-5 free throws, the Lady Pilots set a tone of offensive excellence. 

  

**Second Quarter: Lady Pilots 18, Saints 13** 

The second quarter saw a more closely contested matchup, with the Lady Pilots adding 18 points to their total while the Saints scored 13. Despite the tighter competition, the Lady Pilots maintained a comfortable lead at halftime, heading to the break with a 51-24 advantage. They secured eight field goals, including one three-pointer, and made one free throw. 

  

**Third Quarter: Lady Pilots 33, Saints 15** 

Coming out of halftime, the Lady Pilots continued their offensive onslaught, replicating their first-quarter performance with another 33 points. The Saints, in contrast, managed to put up 15 points. This dominant quarter further extended the Lady Pilots' lead, solidifying their control of the game. 

  

**Fourth Quarter: Lady Pilots 20, Saints 20** 

While the fourth quarter saw both teams contributing 20 points each, the Lady Pilots had already secured a substantial lead, ultimately sealing a convincing 104-59 victory. The Lady Pilots showcased exceptional shooting throughout the game, going 43-for-73 from the field, sinking ten three-pointers, and converting 8-of-11 free throws. 

  

**Individual Performances:** 

Six Lady Pilots made significant contributions, each scoring in double digits. Tyquanna Ross led the way with an impressive 20 points, shooting 9-13 from the field and a perfect 2-2 at the free-throw line. Tahjea Smith followed closely with 14 points, displaying 100% accuracy from all aspects, including 5-for-5 from the field, 2-for-2 beyond the arc, and 2-for-2 at the free-throw line. Destanee Roblow, Tanaisha Hairston, and Sharayah Johnson each contributed 12 points, while Skyler Christmas added 11 to round out a well-distributed offensive effort. 

The Pilots will be back in action Saturday February 3rd as they face RRAC opponent Huston Tillotson. Tip-off is set for 2:00pm CT from The Dock in Shreveport, Louisiana.
