(RV) Saints Defeat the Eagles 95-80

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Eagles hit the road for a two-game stint in San Antonio this weekend. Men's Basketball played the Saints of Our Lady of the Lake University earlier this evening and will be headed to Texas A&M University-San Antonio to face the Jaguars on Saturday.  In last night's game the Eagles lost to the (RV) Saints 95-80.

The Eagles would keep the score within a possession or two for the majority of the first half, however the Saints would go on a run in the final five minutes of the first half and would give themselves a 10 point lead heading into the second half. The Eagles would shoot only 22% from beyond the arc, whereas their opponent shot 55% in the first half.

The first half lead established by the Saints proved to be too large of a differential and despite hot shooting by the Eagles (44% from the field, and 50% from beyond the arc) TAMUT would fall to the Saints of OLLU in a 95-80 defeat.

Deouvaunta Williams would lead the Eagles in scoring with 19 points shooting 8 of 13 from the field and 75% from three. Daryl Houston would snag 9 boards for the Eagles, and Payton Chism would lead both teams in assists with 3 on the game.

Game two of the San Antonio series will be played on the TAMUSA campus versus the Jaguars, tipoff is set for 3:00pm on November 23rd, immediately following the conclusion of the women's game.
