OLLU Graduates 53 Student-Athletes - Most In A Semester In Program History
SAN ANTONIO (May 13, 2024) – Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) celebrated the spring graduating student-athlete class of 2024 on May 9 at Freeman Coliseum. There were 53 student-athletes who graduated from OLLU.
Athletic Director Tom Norris commented, "Every year, we graduate more and more student-athletes, which is a testament to their dedication and perservance. We thank our coaches and professors for guiding our Saints throughout their time with us. We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes as they prepare to launch their careers. Here at OLLU, the student always comes first in student-athlete, and it is our hope to see them prosper and succeed. We look forward to connecting future student-athletes with our alumni at OLLU for years to come."
OLLU President Abel A. Chávez welcomed those in attendance and introduced the commencement speaker, Former San Antonio Mayor, and U.S. HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros. Two student-athletes received their master's degrees including Baseball's Caimyn Holiday and Basketball's Lorena Ramirez.
