Bio

Cambree Cronk, Athletic Academic Advisor, has been with Our Lady of the Lake since August 2024. Being the first to hold this position has allowed her to shape and present opportunities for student-athletes, guided by a purpose of student-focused holistic growth and education.

She is a West Texas native, graduating High School in Lubbock, TX in 2019 and earning her undergraduate degree in Education from Angelo State University in 2022. From there, Cambree received her Master of Education in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Texas State University in May of 2024. She brings with her experience as a Graduate Assistant in Texas State’s Athletic Academic Center, where she supported their athletes academically and contributed to student development and programming.

The role of Athletic Academic Advisor was designed to encourage collaboration amongst Academic Affairs and OLLU Athletics. Cambree directly advises all incoming athletes and those with fewer than 30 earned credit hours, assisting primarily with class scheduling and retention outreach. She also serves as a resource to all student athletes, offering opportunity for major and minor exploration, guidance with summer and winter courses, review of athletic eligibility in terms of academic credit hours, and assistance with degree planning. Additionally, the position allows her to aid in implementing student success initiatives: including conducting regular academic check-in’s, connecting students to campus resources, encouraging communication with faculty and staff, and providing informational workshops for student-athletes.
