Bio

DAN CONSTANTIN officially joined the Sports Information Department staff in 2016-2017 as the photographer on contract.  His duties include taking team and individual photos for the intercollegiate athletic teams. He also photographs home and local events as needed. He has been the unofficial sports action photographer for OLLU since 2009.

Constantin is employed full-time as a Training Coordinator at SeaWorld San Antonio, a position he has held since April 2016. Before that, he worked as a Scuba Diver at SeaWorld from 2004-2011 and 2013-2016.

While away from SeaWorld for two years, Constantin worked as a testing technician for the Defense Language Institute English Language Center at Joint Base San Antonio, Lackland.

Constantin spent 21 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant in 2004. His last tour of duty was at Brooks City Base in San Antonio for the 311 Mission Support Group as the Base Education and Training Manager. Before that, he was stationed at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, 652nd Combat Logistics Support Squadron at McClellan Air Force Base, Calif., 1st Special Operations Wing, Florida, and Clark Air Base, Republic of the Philippines. He was part of two campaigns in Saudi Arabia and Panama.

His education includes two associate’s degrees from the Community College of the Air Force.

Constantin has four children, Melanie Flanagan – a U.S. Air Force veteran; Air Force MSgt Robert Constantin, Stephen Constantin - who works at USAA, and Julianna Burrus, a graduate student at OLLU and a manager at Laguna Seafood Restaurant. He and his wife, Patty, are also parents to rambunctious Teddy and grandparents to lovable Bear.  He is an avid reader and a fan of science fiction and comic books.
