Eric Speelman joined the Sports Information Department staff in April 2022. He can currently be heard as the play-by-play announcer for the OLLU Saints Network.

He has also contributed written and video journalism to Lake Front Media, OLLU’s student media organization.

Speelman, a senior majoring in Mass Communication and minoring in Music, comes to OLLU from Waxahachie, Texas. While there, he worked as a board operator for KBEC 1390 AM/99.1 FM, primarily producing their coverage of Waxahachie High School (WHS) basketball and baseball. He also served as public address announcer for WHS women’s soccer during the abbreviated 2020 spring season.

In his spare time, he is an active volunteer with OLLU University Ministry. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing piano and reading.
