OLLU's Devin Benavides Wins Red River Pitcher of the Week Award

WACO, TEXAS (Feb. 12, 2024) - Devin Benavides of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) garnered the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week award for Feb. 5-11. This is the third set of weekly winners for the 2024 RRAC baseball season.

Benavides threw a complete-game one-hit shutout in his only start of the week. The junior right-hander from Laredo, Texas, struck out six and walked one over seven innings of work in a 10-0 victory over Arlington Baptist College. Benavides is now 3-2 on the season with 38 strikeouts. The Saints improved to 6-4 overall.
