Saints Baseball Falters in Loss to St. Mary's University

SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 13, 2024) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) baseball team fell to NCAA D2 St. Mary's University 10-3 on Tuesday night. The Saints move to 6-5 on the season while the Rattlers jump to 4-5.

Head Coach Matt Piker said, "This was a tough loss tonight and we had a lot of opportunities to let them off the hook. We didn't play well enough to win and I didn't coach well enough to win. Our assistants performed well tonight by putting us in good positions. They handled their responsibilities but at the end of the day if we don't play well enough, it's on me. I take full responsibility for how we played tonight. We have to do a better job and reset for the University of the Southwest series this week."

History

The Saints were 2-11 against the Rattlers prior to the game.
