Saints Men Place Fifth at John Bohmann Memorial Invite

BLANCO, TEXAS (Sept. 13, 2022)– Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf finished in fifth place at the John Bohmann Memorial Invite sponsored by Texas Lutheran University (TLU). The tournament took place at Vaaler Creek Golf Course.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez commented, "With our first tournament in the books, I am proud of our men. Vaaler Creek Golf Course was a great venue to have our first event. It's demanding and requires you to know where your ball is going at all times. Our men did a lot of good things out there. We all identify what we need to work on to get better, and I'm confident that improvements are coming. Congratulations to Massimo Garcia with a tie for second finish. It wasn't easy out there, and I'm proud of how he played. We have another test next week, and we are looking forward to the challenge."

Massimo Garcia improved from a 10th-place first round of 74 to a tie for second-place with a round of 70. He led the Saints, which finished with a final 303/300=603 for fifth place.
