OLLU Men's Golf in 11th Place After Two Rounds at Waco River Classic

WACO, TEXAS (Sept. 20, 2022) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team is in 11th place out of 15 teams after two rounds at the Waco River Classic. The tournament runs from Sept. 19-20 at Bear Ridge Golf Club and is sponsored by McLennan College.

The first two rounds were played yesterday. Midland CC (B Team) was in first place with a total of 284/285=569. New Mexico JC followed in second place at 288/284=572, followed by University of Houston-Victoria at 298/383=581, Midland CC at 293/290=583, McLennan CC at 292/292=584, Western Texas College at 288/299=587, Texas A&M University-San Antonio at 298/293=591, Weatherford College at 303/293=596, Tyler JC at 301/301=602 and Blinn College (B Team) at 302/300=602. OLLU sits in the 11th spot at 301/305=606. Blinn College is in 12th place with 304/303=607, followed by McLennan CC (B Team) at 309/315=624, Jacksonville College (B Team) at 314/311=625 and Jacksonville College at 343/335=678.

Diego Garcia Hernandez leads the Saints in 20th place with a total of 68/77=145. Massimo Garcia followed in 43rd place at 75/76=151 and Oliver Gaisford was in 53rd place at 76/76=152. Sergio Garcia is in 75th place with 82/76=158 and Joshua Brook rounds out the Saints in 92nd place at 87/81=168.
