Saints Men's Golf Completes Play at Claud Jacobs Invitational

VICTORIA, TEXAS (Feb. 28, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team sent two pairs of teams to the Claud Jacobs Invitational that ran from Feb. 26-28. The Saints first team finished in seventh place while the B team took ninth place. The University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) hosted the event at Victoria Country Club.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez said, "The team struggled in our first tournament of the spring. Victoria Country Club is known for their firm and fast greens, and we had difficulties with that. I'm proud of how our guys fought back on day two. Golf is a tough game, but our team is tough as well. We know we are going to have to play well and execute if we plan to win events. We'll get back to practice and be ready for next week. I'm proud of our players. Go Saints."
