Saints Placed Second Out of Nine Teams at TMU Spring Invitational

LLANO, CALIF. (March 29, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team placed second out of 12 teams at the TMU Spring Invitational in Llano, Calif. The tournament was played over two days at the Crystalaire Country Club.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez said, "I'm very proud of how our guys played at this event. The course is a great test of mountain golf. The team did a good job of adapting to a different type of grass and green type. We didn't play our best but we played a lot of good golf. Congratulations to Victor Peña Cortés on a tied for twelth finish. Oliver Gaisford tied for fourth and Sergio Garcia tied for eighth. They played well and grinded out there. To have three players in the top 10 shows what we are capable of. We have one more test in Denton, Texas, before our conference tournament. We're trending in the right direction and I'm excited for the next couple of weeks. Go Saints."
