Saints Men's Golf Completes Two Rounds at Denton
DENTON, TEXAS (April 4, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team is in a tie for seventh after two rounds at the DBU Men's Classic sponsored by Dallas Baptist University (DBU). The tournament is taking place at the Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch.
In first place is DBU at 577, followed by the University of Houston-Victoria at 588, Southern Arkansas University at 589, St. Mary's University and Mississippi College at 590, the University of Texas at Tyler at 593, the University of Texas at Dallas and OLLU at 594, DBU (B) at 595, East Texas Baptist University at 600, Fort Hays State University and Southeast Oklahoma State University at 601, Missouri Southern State University at 602, Lubbock Christian University at 607 and the University of Arkansas at Monticello at 608.
Leading the way for the Saints is Oliver Gaisford with a two-round 72/76=148 for a tie for 25th place. Massimo Garcia has a two-round 76/74=150 for a tie for 31st place. Sergio Garcia shot a two-round 77/74=51 and Diego Garcia Hernandez shot a 73/78-151. Victor Peña Cortés shot a two-round 71/84=155.
The final round takes place today.
