OLLU Men's Golf Is In Eighth Place After Two Rounds at Victoria
VICTORIA, TEXAS (Feb. 27, 2024) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team is in eighth place out of nine teams after two rounds at the Claud Jacobs Collegiate Invitational. The event is sponsored by the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) at the Victoria Country Club in Victoria, Texas.
Leading the way is Texas Wesleyan University (A) with a 575, followed by UHV at 588, St. Thomas University at 593, Texas Wesleyan University (B) at 595, Southwestern Christian University at 604, Rocky Mountain College at 609, Texas A&M University – San Antonio at 610, OLLU at 611 and Louisiana Christian University at 635.
Oliver Gaisford is the top finisher on the first day with a two-round 75/74=149 for a tie for 12th place. Sergio Garcia shot a 74/78=152, Massimo Garcia shot a 78/75=153, Jake Casias shot a 76/79=155 and Victor Peña Cortes tallied 77/80=157. Others playing included Alex Marshall who shot a 86/73=159, Ethan Aleman shot a 82/82=164 and Matthew Cantu shot a 82/86=168
