Men's Golf Finishes First Round at Schreiner Invitational in Fourth Place

KERRVILLE, TEXAS (March 4, 2024) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf squad is in fourth place out of eight teams at the Schreiner Invitational after one round. The tournament is being hosted by Schreiner University (SU) at the Comanche Trace Golf Club. The course has a par of 72 and is 7,059 yards. 

SU is in first place with a total of 295. Texas A&M University-San Antonio sits in second place at 298, followed by the University of Houston-Victoria at 301 and the Saints in fourth place at 303. California Lutheran University is in the fifth spot at 306, followed by the University of the Southwest in sixth at 314, Concordia University-Texas in seventh at 318 and McMurry University in eighth at 320.

Victor Peña Cortes had a fantastic first round with a total of 70 for second place. Alex Marshall is in 11th place at 75, followed by Sergio Garcia in 14th place at 76, Oliver Gaisford in 20th place at 77, Massimo Garcia in 32nd place at 80, Ethan Aleman in 43rd place at 83 and Jake Casias in 46th place at 87.
