OLLU Men's Golf Improved in Final Day in Nevada

LAUGHLIN, NEV. (March 26, 2024) - The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team finished in 15th place at the Battle at Laughlin Ranch after three rounds of play. The tournament was sponsored by Wayland Baptist University (WBU) and Grand View University (GU) at the Laughlin Ranch Golf Club in Laughlin, Nev.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez said, "It was a tough tournament in Laughlin. The course was in great shape with a lot of hills and undulation. This caused some difficulties for our men. We struggled with managing our distances and adapting to the course. Whenever you play in another state, you have to expect there to be some changes in the image and conditions of the course. On day one, we didn't do that well. However, I'm proud of how they responded on day two. They played and executed much better. There are lessons to be learned by every player. Our goal is to identify those lessons and improve. We continue to work and prepare for our conference tournament. Go, Saints!"

Keiser Univeristy came in first with a score of 864, followed by OUAZ with 874, Texas Wesleyan University with 875, Oklahoma City University with 879, Wayland Baptist University with 880, Southeastern University with 884, University of Houston-Victoria with 889, The Master's University with 893, Benedictine University-Mesa with 893, Bellevue University with 894, Riocky Mountain College with 899, Victoria University with 902, Kansas Wesleyan University with 906, Grand View University with 910, OLLU with 910 and Doane University with 925.
