Men's Golf Concludes Two Rounds at TWU Spring Invitational

WILLOW PARK, TEXAS (April 15, 2024) - The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf squad finished the first two rounds at the Texas Wesleyan University (TWU) Spring Invitational today. They are tied for fifth place out of 12 teams after shooting 296 in round one and 290 in round two for a total of 586. The tournament is being held at the Squaw Creek Golf Course in Willow Park, Texas, and has a par of 71.

TWU is in first place at 286/284=570. The University of Houston-Victoria follows in the second spot at 286/291=577. Oklahoma City University (291/293=584) and Southwestern Christian University (298/286=584) are tied for third place. The Saints (296/290=586) are tied for fifth place with the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (291/295=586). TWU B team is seventh at 298/296=594 and Texas A&M University-San Antonio (311/289=600) and TWU C team (300/300=600) are tied for eighth. Central Christian College of Kansas is in 10th place at 305/305=610, followed by Seminole State College at 312/305=617 and Oklahoma Panhandle State University at 335/331=666.

Sergio Garcia leads the Saints in ninth place at 70/74=144. Oliver Gaisford and Jake Casias are tied for 15th place at 75/72=147. Massimo Garcia is in the 21st spot at 76/72=148 and Ozil Salinas is in 53rd place at 85/75=160.
