OLLU Men's Golf Takes Fifth Place at TWU Spring Invitational

WILLOW PARK, TEXAS (April 16, 2024) - The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's golf team finished in fifth place out of 12 teams after three rounds at the Texas Wesleyan University (TWU) Spring Invitational. The tournament was held at the Squaw Creek Golf Course in Willow Park, Texas, and had a par of 71.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez commented, "I'm very happy with how our men played this tournament. The course was challenging and the winds were up for most of the first day. They made good decision and executed how I know they can. We had a couple of under par rounds which is what we are trying to do. Golf is a tough sport and requires a lot of discipline. I'm proud of how the team grinded during the tournament. Congratulations to Massimo Garcia for a good tournament showing. He shot 65 on the last day and it was the low round of the tournament. The potential is through the roof with these guys and we are looking forward to conference. Go Saints."
