OLLU Men's Soccer Outplayed by LCU in 5-1 Defeat

SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 1, 2022) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's soccer team fell to Louisiana Christian University (LCU) 5-1 on Saturday. The Saints drop to 0-8-1 overall and 0-4-0 in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). The Wildcats jump to 6-2-2 overall and 3-0-1 in conference.

The Saints won the only previous meeting against the Wildcats in 2021.

Basics

The Saints remained winless in conference play with a loss against LCU on Saturday. The Wildcats started the scoring early with two goals in the first 20 minutes. They scored back-to-back goals again at the 36th and 39th minutes. Connor Bagley put the Saints on the board at the 40-minute mark with his first goal of the season. The Wildcats increased the lead to 5-1 in the second half and held on to win. The Saints tallied 17 shots and had four corner kicks.
