SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 28, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's soccer team won a close match 1-0 against the University of the Southwest (USW) on Thursday. The Saints' first home win improves the season record to 2-5-1 and 2-2-1 in Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) competition. The Mustangs fall to 1-5-1 overall and 0-4 in conference.

The Saints were 11-7-1 against the Mustangs prior to the game.
Basics
The Saints offense produced 24 shots with 14 on goal against the Mustangs. Nikola Saltchev scored the lone goal in the 29th minute with an assist from Samuel Villegas. Dominic Pena made three saves in the shoutout win. Nine different Saints had at least one shot on goal.
