SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 12, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's soccer team lost 2-0 against Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA) on Thursday. The Saints move to 3-7-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). The Gold Rush jump to 8-2 overall and 7-1 in conference competition.

This was the first meeting between the two teams.

Basics

The Saints and Gold Rush combined for 31 shots on Thursday. The Saints had two corner kicks in the first half and five shots. Eduardo dos Santos scored the first goal for Xavier at the 25th minute. The Gold Rush struck again three minutes after the second half started. Gustavo Oliveira scored after assisting on the first goal earlier in the match.
