Men's Tennis Falls to No. 10-ranked XULA 4-2

ALEXANDRIA, LA. (April 4, 2024) - The No. 23-ranked Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's tennis squad lost 4-2 against No. 10-ranked Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA) to open play at the LSU-Alexandria (LSUA) Tournament. The Saints are now 15-7 while the Gold Rush improve to 10-9. The loss snapped OLLU's 11-game winning streak.

Head Coach Dave Watts commented, "This was a tough match today. We had too many mistakes in doubles and against a tough team like Xavier, the doubles point is so important. Kyllian Savary and David Ekpenyong did a great job at lines one and two. Johan Favelin also did a greally good job taking the match to three sets at line four. Jaroslav Majsajdr had a tough match at line three. I thought he competed well, but VanDer Woody played aggressively in the last game to finish the match. We will continue to work and we hope to have another matchup against XULA at conference."
