OLLU's Savary Wins Second Tennis Athlete of the Week Award
WACO, TEXAS (April 9, 2024) – Kyllian Savary of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) earned recognition as the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week for April 1-7. This is the 10th set of weekly winners for the 2024 RRAC tennis season.
Savary scored three singles victories in a 2-1 week for the Saints at the LSU Alexandria Inviatational. The senior from Savigny-Sur-Orge, France, played at No. 1 and won in straight sets over opponents from Texas Wesleyan University and Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Savary also delivered in a 7-6, 6-3 victory over Julius Hell from 10th-ranked Xavier University of Louisiana. He was also 2-1 in doubles with David Ekpenyong. OLLU is ranked 23rd in the nation with a 17-7 team record.
This is Savary's second Tennis Player of the Week award this season.
