Men's Tennis Receives Historic ITA Rankings

SAN ANTONIO (April 11, 2024) - The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's tennis program received updated individual and team Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings. The men's squad is 17-7 overall this year.

The men's team is ranked No. 16 in the NAIA with a World Tennis Number (WTN) of 16, which is the highest ITA ranking in program history. Kyllian Savary is 9-3 in singles and is the top ranked Saint at No. 10. David Ekpenyong follows in the 31st spot with an 8-0 singles mark. Savary and Ekpenyong are 6-3 when playing together in doubles matches, garnering the No. 13 ranking. The men's team has won 13 of their last 14 matches.

The men will face Southwestern University tomorrow at 5 p.m. at the Blossom Tennis Center and the senior class will be recognized. They head to New Orleans from April 18-20 for the NAIA Independents Championship Tournament.
