Men's Track and Field Team Plus Two Individuals Receive All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS, LA. (July 17, 2024) - Two members of the Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) Track and Field team received 2024 U.S. Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches' Association Academic Awards for their performance in the classroom. Jalen Bell and Jesus Riefkohl Delgado are OLLU's representatives. The team was also recognized.

Bell qualified for the 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay in the NAIA Outdoor Championships. He was named NAIA All-American in the Indoor Championships in the 4x400m relay. He earned a 3.67 GPA. Delgado participated in the 4x100m relay in the Outdoor Championships. He earned a 3.74 GPA.

In addition, the team as a whole received Team Academic honors after finishing the season with a 3.04 GPA.
