Saints Men Place Second in Saints Collegiate Invite
WINDCREST, TEXAS (Oct. 7, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's cross-country team placed second at the Fifth Annual Saints Collegiate Cross-Country Invite this morning. The men came in second in 2017 and 2018, third in 2022 and fourth in 2019.
Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) won the event with 37 points. OLLU followed one point behind with 38 points. Trinity University followed with 78, Texas A&M University – Kingsville with 100 and Texas Lutheran University with 116 points.
Kruz Malesich was the Saints' top finisher with a time of 26:01 in the 8K for seventh place. JoseCarlos Hernandez came in eighth with a time of 26:03. He was followed by Anthony Perez at 26:14, Jose Saucedo at 26:16, Hector Puente at 26:18, Sebastian Moreno at 26:26, Diego Moran at 26:29, Tony Favella at 26:40, Vincent Garza at 27:03, Sigifredo Salinas at 27:25, Amancio Castilleja at 28:01, Jose Perez at 28:05, Ryan Aldana at 28:08, Robert Rios at 28:31, Dominic Alonzo at 28:38, Joshua Veliz at 29:14 and Jair Lopez at 29:26.
