Saints Men Dominated Field of Runners to Win OLLU Cross-Country Invite
SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 19, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's cross-country team captured the OLLU Cross-Country Collegiate Invite this morning The men won this event in 2019, came in second in 2015, 2018 and 2021 and third in 2016, 2017.
The Saints tallied 15 points to win the 8k. Other teams participating included Dallas Christian, UNT-Dallas, Huston-Tillotson and Victoria College.
OLLU had the top seven finishers including Vincent Garza, who won the individual medal with a time of 29:26. Second was Kruz Malesich with a time of 29:39, followed by Tony Favella with a time of 29:45, JoseCarlos Hernandez with a time of 30:25, Jose Perez with a time of 30:54, Sigifredo with a time of 31:20, Amancio Castilleja with a time of 31:38.
Other finishers included Ryan Aldana at 32:56, Dominic Alonzo at 33:07 and Diego Moran at 35:12.
