Men's Cross-Country Participated at NAIA National Championships

VANCOUVER, WASH. (Nov. 18, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's cross-country squad finished in 33rd place out of 36 teams at the 68th Annual NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship at Fort Vancouver Historical Course on Friday.

The Saints totaled a team score of 894 points in the 8k with a total time of 2:17.47 and an average of 27:33.

Head Coach Patrick Torres commented, "We needed more than what we got out of our team this race and we underperformed. This young squad will continue to improve and hopefully will remember this feeling."

Kruz Malesich was the Saints' top finisher with a 191st place finish of 328 runners. Malesich completed the course with a mark of 26:58.6. JC Hernandez followed in 244th place at 27:30.1, Hector Puente in 249th place at 27:33.1, Anthony Perez in 251st at 27:33.4, Vincent Garza in 278th at 28:12.6, Tony Favella in 288th place at 28:22.6 and Sebastian Moreno in 306th place at 29:34.9.
