Saints Set Program Winning Record with Victories Over TAMUSA

SAN ANTONIO (April 12, 2023) – The No. 2-ranked Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) softball team downed Texas A&M University-San Antonio (TAMUSA) in a pair of games on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints improve to 36-4 overall and remain undefeated in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) at 22-0. The Jaguars drop to 19-17 overall and 12-6 in the RRAC. The Saints set a program record by marking their 27th consecutive victory.

Head Coach Bruce Lenington commented, "I was pleased with the effort in both games. The Jaguars would receive the second seed in conference if the season ended right now by having the most wins besides us. Our two starting pitchers did a great job keeping the Jaguars off balance and we had timely hits. The defensive play was clean throughout the day. These were two big wins on the road because a lot of teams can't come into this territory and sweep them. We are very proud to keep this winning streak going."
