Saints Softball Welcomes Two Transfer Students

SAN ANTONIO (July 25, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) softball team has announced the signing of two transfer students to its 2023-2024 squad. Joining the team in August 2023 are sophomore Bradi Hill graduate student Natalie Rodriguez.

Bradi Hill is a native of New Braunfels, Texas, where she attended New Braunfels High School. She is transferring to OLLU from Odessa College. While there, she was chosen as the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) First Team All-Conference and First Team Al-Academic. She is majoring in business management.

Head Coach Bruce Lenington commented, "We are extremely happy to welcome Bradi to the Lake this fall. She is a very talented player and a proven winner."

Hill, a catcher, said "Our Lady of the Lake and the community that surrounds it felt like home."

Natalie Rodriguez, who plays right field and first base, comes to OLLU from Edinburg, Texas, where she attended Edinburg North High School. She is a transfer from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and is pursuing a graduate degree in education.

Lenington said, "Natalie is a proven hitter in the best D2 conference in the country. She fits our culture and mission perfectly."

"I am choosing OLLU because of its culture," Rodriguez said. "The environment here is electric, and I wanted to be a part of a program of just that."

The Saints will play a handful of fall games and will begin its official season in the spring. They are the reigning Red River Athletic Conference Regular-Season and Tournament Champions. The women made it to their first-ever NAIA World Series after winning the NAIA Opening Round San Antonio Bracket. Home games will feature live stats and live-streaming on the OLLU Saints Network.
