Trevino Scores 1,000th Point in Game Against Texarkana

SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 11, 2023) – Coming into today's Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) game, Our Lady of the Lake University's (OLLU) Natalia Trevino needed just five points to reach 1,000 in her collegiate career. With her team-leading 16 points against Texas A&M University – Texarkana (TAMUT), Trevino becomes the ninth female to join the Saints 1,000 Point Club. The team fought hard but fell to the Eagles 60-64 to move to 14-11 overall and 11-7 in the conference. The Eagles remain undefeated in conference with an 18-0 record and 23-1 overall.

Head Coach Tanya Ray commented, "I thought we did a good job of coming out and competing today. We had way too many fouls against us. When a team makes more free throws than you attempt, it makes it hard to win.

"I couldn't be more happier for Nat and her reaching 1,000 points here at OLLU. She is a young lady who comes out, competes and gives it her all every day, whether it's practice or games. I am glad to have had the privilege to coach her."
