SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 29, 2024) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's basketball team surges into the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Championship Tournament as the No. 6 seed. The Saints finished the regular season with an overall mark of 10-17 and 9-13 record in conference play.

The Saints went 6-8 at home and 4-9 on the road throughout the season. OLLU rallied for three straight conference wins to close the January schedule. They beat Louisiana Christian University, Jarvis Christian University and Texas College in that span. They outscored those teams 205-176. The final month was tough for the Saints as they marked three wins against conference opponents.

The RRAC Championship Tournament consists of eight teams. LSU-Shreveport (LSUS) was perfect in conference play at 22-0 and grabbed the first seed. Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA) and LSU-Alexandria (LSUA) both went 19-3, with XULA earning the second seed due to the tiebreaker. LSUA followed in the third spot and Texas A&M University-Texarkana (TAMUT) is fourth at 10-12. The University of the Southwest (USW) and OLLU had identical conference marks at 9-13, but the Mustangs beat the Saints twice in the regular season to earn the tiebreaker as the fifth seed. The Saints are the sixth seed with a tiebreaker advantage over No. 7-seed Huston-Tillotson University (HTU), who also went 9-13. Louisiana Christian University (LCU) took the eighth spot at 8-14.

The tournament is being hosted by LSUA at the Rapides Coliseum in Alexandria, La. The quarterfinals will kick off the tournament tomorrow with the following schedule:
