Three Named to the RRAC Women's Basketball All-Conference Team
WACO, TEXAS (March 1, 2024) – The Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) announced the 2023-2024 All-Conference Women's Basketball Team on Thursday. Our Lady of the Lake University's (OLLU) Tiffany Lopez has been selected to the All-Conference First Team, while Cormia Lewis earned Honorable Mention recognition. Julia Plata was selected to the All-Champions of Character Team.
Lopez led the team in scoring with 14.1 ppg. for a total of 380 points. She became a member of the Saints 1,000 Point Club and currently has 1,018 points. Earlier this season, she became the all-time leader at OLLU in blocks and now has 80. Lopez led the team in rebounds with 222 for 8.2 rpg., for 10th in conference, in blocks with 39 for 1.4 bpg., for second in conference, and in steals with 47 for 1.7 spg., for 11th in conference. Lopez is only the second Saint in team history to have more than 30 steals (47), blocks (39) and assists (32) in one season. Sonji Green (2014-2016) is the first to do this when she had 31 steals, 54 blocks and 42 steals in the 2015-2016 season.
Lewis has 259 points for 10.4 ppg. She has 78 rebounds for 3.1 rpg., 58 assists for 2.3 apg., and 24 steals for 1.9 spg.
Julia Plata was chosen to the All-Champions of Character Team.
