Women's Golf Is Runner Up in Victoria Classic

VICTORIA, TEXAS (Oct. 18, 2022) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf team finished as runner-up in the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) Fall Classic.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez commented, "This event was a tough one. The women had to endure rainy and windy conditions. It definitely increased the difficulty of the course. I'm proud of how the women grinded through their rounds. Speficically Ceci, congratulations on her second-place finish. It's good to watch them find some success. We work them hard day in and day out. We have one more event in Oklahoma next week and then we are done for the fall. We plan on ending on a good note."

Winning the tournament was Blinn College (673), followed by OLLU (679). UHV (690) is after OLLU (620), and Blinn College B (699), Oklahoma Wesleyan University (729) and UHV B (780) teams follow.

Ceci Lattuada led the way for the Saints finishing in second place with an 80-78/158. Annabelle Reyna placed fourth with a 80-81/161, followed by Alahnna Limones (87-91/178) and Madelyn Miller (91-87/178) for 11th place. Christina Trujillo shot an 88-92/180, Alexis Calzada shot a 94-88/182 and Miliana Georges shot a 94-93/187.

The Saints will get set for the UD Fall Classic at Winstar Casino Resort Course on Oct. 23-25.
