Saints Golf Takes Fourth Place at Claud Jacobs Invitational

VICTORIA, TEXAS (Feb. 28, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Claud Jacobs Invitational. The tournament ran from Feb. 26-28 at the Victoria Country Club hosted by the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV).  

Head Coach Arnie Martinez commented, "I'm very proud of our women for their first event of the year. The team did a good job of adapting to the conditions of the course. They pushed through coastal winds and tough green speeds. They played well but we still have work to do. We know what we can improve on, and we will be better next week. Go Saints."

Texas Wesleyan University took first place with a total of 303/293=596 after the two rounds of play. St. Thomas University followed with 303/294=697 and Blinn College finished in third place at 309/316=625. The Saints earned fourth place with a total of 318/317=635 followed by Wayland Baptist University at 328/310=638 and UHV at 323/329=652.

Ceci Lattuada led the Saints in ninth place with a total of 78/75=153. Annabelle Reyna followed in 18th place at 80/80=160 and Alexis Calzada took 19th with 80/81=161. Madelyn Miller took 21st place at 80/82=162, followed by Miliani Georges in 29th place at 87/81=168, Christina Trujillo in 34th place at 87/85=172 and Alahnna Limones in 35th place with 91/82=173.
