Saints Women Take Fourth Place at Battle at the Primm

NIPTON, CALIF. (March 21, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf team finished in fourth place out of nine teams at the Battle at the Primm. The tournament took place in Nipton, Calif., at the Primm Valley Golf Club and lasted two rounds.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez said, "I'm very happy with the way our women played out here. Adapting to different course conditions is a key variable in playing good golf. There were some very good teams in this event, and we proved that we can play with the best of them. Congratulations to Ceci Lattuada for her 10th place individual finish. Alexis Calzada posted her best individual finish as a Saint. The whole team played well and deserves a shoutout. We will continue to work and prepare for our next event. We are excited and will be ready."

The University of British Columbia finished in first place at 299/295=594. Texas Wesleyan University took second place at 305/301=606, followed by Ottawa University at 315/301=616. Victoria University tied the Saints for fourth place at 316/303=619. OLLU finished at 312/307=619, followed by Embry Riddle University at 313/307=620, Grand View University at 340/325=665, University of Houston-Victoria at 344/338=682 and Arizona Christian University at 366/281=647.

Ceci Lattuada was the top finisher for the Saints in 10th place at 80/72=152. Alexis Calzada followed in 12th place at 77/76=153, Annabelle Reyna in the 18th spot at 74/82=156, Madelyn Miller in 23rd place at 81/77=158 and Miliani Georges in 33rd place at 82/85=167.
