Saints Women's Golf Took Fifth Place at Lady Bulldogs Classic

SEGUIN, TEXAS (Sept. 12, 2023) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf team completed the Texas Lutheran University (TLU) Lady Bulldog Classic Tournament today. 

Head Coach Arnie Martinez commented, "We got the season started on a good note. With it being the first tournament, we knew we would be battling fatigue both mentally and physically. Our women did a good job of grinding, though. We didn't finish how we would have hoped, but we know what we need to work on. We will be ready for our next event in Austin. Go, Saints!"

The Saints have totaled 630 points for fifth place behind the University of Texas at Dallas A Team, which tallied 586 points, Southwestern University and Trinity University with 600 points and the University of St. Thomas with 607 points. After OLLU were Schreiner University with 648 points, University of Texas at Dallas B Team with 670 points, Texas Lutheran University with 682 points and Centenary College with 747 points.

Kendall Ward led the way for the Saints with 154 points (76-78). She was followed by Madelyn Miller with 79-77=156, Annabelle Reyna with 81-80=161, Alexis Calzada with 81-82=163 and Ceci Lattuada with 77-89=166.

The Saints will get set for the Legends Cup sponsored by the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Lake Travis, Texas.
