Women's Golf Finishes in Fifth Place at Claud Jacobs Invitational

VICTORIA, TEXAS (Feb. 28, 2024) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf team finished in fifth place out of nine teams in the Claud Jacobs Collegiate Invitational. The event was sponsored by the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) at the Victoria Country Club in Victoria, Texas. The Colony Creek Golf Course has a par of 72.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez commented, "I'm proud of how our women played. The Colony Creek Golf Course is always a test with high winds and tough greens. The women played very well on day one. The winds picked up on day two and made the course more difficult. We didn't adapt to the conditions as well as we could have. They grinded through it and learned some things along the way. Congrats to Annabelle Reyna on her individual finish. We have work to do before the next tournament and we welcome the challenge. Go Saints."

Texas Wesleyan University took first place at 608. The University of Houston-Victoria and Rocky Mountain College tied in second place at 639. St. Thomas University finished in fourth place at 641 and OLLU followed at 657. Wayland Baptist took sixth place at 660, followed by Southwestern Christian University at 679, Blinn College at 681 and Ranger College at 690.
