Women's Golf Takes Fourth Place at Schreiner Invitational

KERRVILLE, TEXAS (March 5, 2024) - The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf squad finished in fourth place out of seven teams in two rounds at the Schreiner Invitational. The tournament is being hosted by Schreiner University (SU) at the Comanche Trace Golf Course, which has a par of 72 and is 6,031 yards.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez said, "The women competed tough at the Schreiner Invitational. The course was demanding around the greens. I'm happy how they continued to weather storms throughout the round. It's easy to lose pace out there on those greens. The women improved on their putting from day one to day two. Congrats to Kendall Ward for her top nine finish and Annabelle Reyna on her top 12 finish. We still have work to do, but that's the grind and we are welcoming of the challenge. We'll be ready for Crystalaire Country Club in April. Go Saints."

California Lutheran University took first place at 630. The University of St. Thomas finished in second place at 631, followed by the University of Houston-Victoria in third at 645 and the Saints in fourth at 648. Concordia University-Texas concluded in fifth place at 657, followed by SU at 681 and McMurry University at 762.

Kendall Ward had a top 10 finish in ninth place at 81/79=160. Annabelle Reyna (82/80=162) and Ceci Lattuada (79/83=162) tied for 12th place. Madelyn Miller took 19th place at 84/82=166. Miliani Georges (87/81=168) and Christina Trujillo (86/82=168) finished tied for 22nd place.
